Before moving into the Kiwanis Garden Manor please be sure to confirm the date with the Executive Director.  It is preferred that you move in between Monday and Friday as more staff are available to answer any questions you may have. Please plan your move either between 9:00 am - 11:30 am or between 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm as the elevators are very busy at meal times.

 

Label 

Before you move in be sure to have your hearing aide, glasses, dentures and equipment (walker, wheelchair, cane) professionally labeled. Kiwanis Garden Manor cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Proper labeling ensures identification of ownership of items.

 

Mail
Notify people of your change of address. If you have a subscription to newspapers, magazines, etc. notify them of your change of address and have them redirected to Kiwanis Garden Manor at 4923 Kiwanis Ave, Powell River, BC V8A 5H5.

 

Telephone & Cable

Tenants are responsible for arranging their own telephone and cable services.  

 

Flat linens

Mark sheets and towels with the suite number in the bottom right hand corner with a permanent laundry marker. Please contact the Front Office or Housekeeping if you require assistance.

 

Insurance Coverage

Tenants are responsible for getting a renter's insurance package that covers fire, flood and theft.
