The Kiwanis Garden Manor has been opened since October 2006.  It is a non-profit society that has 40 private, subsidized apartment units. It provides hospitality services which include lunch and dinner and two snacks per day, housekeeping, 24-hour emergency response, 24-hour personal care and support and organized programs. The Kiwanis Garden Manor is the only assisted living complex in Powell River and has an excellent reputation for providing exceptional care and hospitality.

Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living creates an atmosphere of supported independence by encouraging tenants to engage in activities that create positive energy and healthy living with balance. The atmosphere is designed to enhance quality of life, enabling seniors to live safely, comfortably and independently as long as possible.


Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living provides the highest standard of care and support needed for tenants to continue a vibrant and meaningful life. Staff members promote tenant dignity, self worth and choice on a day to day basis.




The Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living facility constantly strives to provide its tenants with excellent housing and supportive services. We strive to meet the unique daily living needs of each tenant, while continuing to foster their individuality, independence, and freedom of choice.

We strive to integrate the Kiwanis Garden Manor into the local neighbourhood, and foster interaction between generations to the benefit of all.
